Theatre Arts Basics
JUNIOR (age 6 - 9 years)
Sessions will begin in 2009
This class will focus on stimulating
the imagination and encouraging spontaneity through a variety of
games and theatre skills: improvisation, creative movement,
storytelling and play building. There will also be an emphasis
on developing confidence, stage awareness, the willingness to
co-operate as a group, and above all, having a lot of fun.
Family and friends will be invited to a final performance at the end
of each session.

Introductory Theatre Arts
INTERMEDIATE (age 10 - 14 years)
The emphasis of this program is to
introduce students to the fundamentals of theatre arts.
Working as a group in a supportive environment, students will
strengthen their ability to concentrate, explore their imaginative
powers and creative impulses, improve self-confidence and
self-discipline, and deepen their ability to communicate with
others. Students will have the opportunity to refine their
drama skills through in-depth improvisation, voice, movement and
character study. In addition, students will be developing
their playmaking abilities by transforming their own words and ideas
into original scripts. Each session will culminate in a final
performance for an invited audience.

Advanced Theatre Arts
SENIOR (age 14 - 18 years)
Sessions will begin in 2009
This course has been developed to
appeal to those who are exploring their interest in theatre for the
first time, those who are seriously interested in pursuing a career
in the performing arts and for everyone in between. This
course provides the opportunity for young actors to take their
talents and abilities to the next level through in-depth training
and exploration. Students will be introduced to a range of
acting techniques, expand their theatrical vocabulary and hone their
skills in improvisation, scene and monologue study, voice and
movement work and auditioning techniques. Each session will culminate in a final performance open to the public.
